Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Dossier Development Committee Le Trung Ho said that An Giang province is focusing on completing the final steps of the procedures to prepare the nomination dossier and heritage management plan. The goal is to send the draft nomination dossier before September 30, 2025 and to send the official nomination dossier to the World Heritage Center before February 1, 2026.

Oc Eo - Ba The archaeological site is located in An Giang province, with a total conservation planning area of ​​about 433.1 hectares. With outstanding values, in 2012, the Oc Eo - Ba The archaeological and architectural art site was ranked as a special national monument.

In January 2022, the World Heritage Center included the relic site in the tentative list of world cultural heritage records.
