The price of 9999 gold this afternoon was listed by DOJI at 80.95 million VND/tael for buying and 82.75 million VND/tael for selling.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 81.00 - 83.00 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 80.95 - 83.45 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 82.00 - 82.90 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
Gold bar prices fluctuated strongly last week, especially in the last trading sessions of the week, the yellow precious metal continuously fell sharply, recording a very sharp decrease in selling prices, considered the sharpest decrease since the beginning of the year.
Accordingly, at Saigon Jewelry Company, the price was bought at 81 million VND/tael and sold at 83 million VND. Compared to the beginning of yesterday, each tael of SJC gold bar decreased by 2 million VND. Compared to the end of last week, each tael of gold bar decreased by 6.5 million VND. The difference between the buying and selling price is currently at 2 million VND. Thus, in total, buyers after one week have lost 8.5 million VND per tael.
Gold rings also recorded a week of price reduction, accordingly, 4-number 9 gold rings at SJC were bought at 74.1 million VND/tael and sold at 75.7 million VND/tael, down 700,000 VND/tael after one week. Similarly, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company reduced the price of gold rings from 930,000 - 1.03 million VND/tael when buying to 74.23 million VND/tael and sold at 75.63 million VND/tael; DOJI Group also reduced the price of gold rings from 900,000 VND/tael, bringing the buying price down to 74.15 million VND/tael and selling to 75.75 million VND/tael...
The central exchange rate listed by the State Bank is 24,261 VND/USD, up 3 VND/USD. The USD price at commercial banks is traded around 25,224 VND/USD for buying and 25,474 VND/USD for selling.

World gold price this afternoon June 2 , 2024 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 2:00 p.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,329.15 USD/ounce. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 70,584 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 10,416 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

World gold price closed the week at 2,329.15 USD/ounce, compared to the end of last week, the yellow precious metal decreased by nearly 7 USD/ounce.
Gold had a volatile trading week and despite trying to recover in the first half of the week, the precious metal still ended the week on a downward trend.
Although gold fell this week, experts said there are many reasons for investors to believe that this precious metal can find momentum for price increases next week, including the possibility of a long-awaited interest rate cut, the risk of a weakening labor market, and especially strong demand from investors in many countries around the world.
Gold price forecast
As for the gold price trend this week, 10 Wall Street analysts participated in the Kitco News Gold Survey, and the results showed that 6 experts (60%) expect gold prices to go higher next week. 2 analysts (20%) predict prices will fall, and the same number see gold trending sideways as they wait for direction next week.
Meanwhile, 128 Main Street retail investors (58%) expect gold prices to rise next week. Fifty-three investors (24%) expect lower prices, while 41 respondents (18%) are neutral on the near-term direction of gold prices.
