With the spirit of shock and volunteerism, the youth of the provincial armed forces took the lead in carrying out many meaningful projects and tasks, contributing to spreading the beautiful image of Uncle Ho's soldiers.

Steadfast character

In cultivating morality, the youth of the provincial armed forces maintain many creative and meaningful models such as: One good news every day, one beautiful story every week; youth with traffic culture; youth union branches do not smoke, do not violate the law, military discipline... Senior Lieutenant Vo Minh Dong - Assistant for Mass Work, Political Department, Provincial Military Command (CHQS) said: "100% of cadres and union members study and research emulation movements associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; more than 95% of union members register to practice according to the standards of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new period, creating motivation for each person to strive in studying, working and living".

Over the past 5 years, more than 32,000 members have participated in political activities, seminars and forums organized by the Provincial Military Command. Senior Lieutenant Tran Huynh Thi Le Huyen - Secretary of the Youth Union of the General Staff Department, Provincial Military Command shared: "Propaganda and education work together with seminars and forums contribute to fostering political mettle, training revolutionary ethics, and nurturing the spirit of absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and the People for the youth of the provincial armed forces. We are determined to contribute, worthy of the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers."

In training, union members and young people promote their intelligence and creativity in studying, training and technical research. From 2020 to now, young cadres have proposed 125 initiatives and technical improvements, many of which have been effectively applied and won high prizes in competitions at the military region, army and national levels. These achievements affirm the mettle, intelligence and determination of the youth of the provincial armed forces; at the same time, contributing to improving overall quality and combat strength.

Volunteer

Along with training, the youth of the provincial armed forces are pioneers in the shock and volunteer movement. From 2020 to now, union members and youth have contributed more than 55,000 working days to build rural roads, repair houses, clean the environment, build youth works; and give more than 2,500 gifts to policy families, poor households, students overcoming difficulties, militia and self-defense forces, reserve mobilization, non-commissioned officers and soldiers in difficult circumstances, with a total value of more than 3.3 billion VND. Captain Au Ngoc Khoe - Political Commissar of Battalion 207, Regiment 893, Provincial Military Command said: "Promoting the heroic tradition, the youth of the Battalion always strive to complete all tasks well, while actively increasing production, working to help people and support the poor".

The provincial armed forces' youth built and handed over 10 comrade houses, 1 "100 Dong House", 1 house of solidarity with members, with a total cost of more than 500 million VND. In particular, to support poor students who love to study, Senior Lieutenant Tran Huynh Thi Le Huyen proposed and implemented the model "Nurturing knowledge". From the model, hundreds of students in difficult circumstances received scholarships, school bags, and books. Receiving books given by young soldiers, Danh Hoang Anh - a student in Ngoc Chuc commune said: "I like having a new school bag, I really like it. I try to study according to the instructions of the soldiers". At the same time, the youth of the General Staff Department actively participated in the programs: Filial children, 100 Dong house, helping children go to school, with a total cost of more than 748 million VND.

Not only volunteering, cadres and union members of the provincial armed forces also stand side by side with the people in natural disasters and calamities. Over the past 5 years, more than 7,500 union members have participated in rescue operations, evacuating people's property from dangerous areas, overcoming the consequences of floods, landslides, and droughts. In the border area, Battalion 519, Regiment 893 always helps people in storms, fighting forest fires, building bridges, building roads... Senior Lieutenant Huynh Thanh Phong - Deputy Political Commissar of Battalion 519 said: "In addition to activities such as the heart of a soldier, helping children go to school, giving gifts to lonely elderly people, these days, the soldiers also make 500 lanterns for children. Although the gift is small, it is the heart of a soldier sending the hope that the children will have a happy Mid-Autumn Festival".
