From Wednesday, October 1, educational institutions will proactively monitor the development of floods and storm circulation, and report to the People's Committees of communes, wards and the Department of Education and Training to let students stay home from school (if deemed necessary).

Educational institutions with boarding and semi-boarding students must be strictly managed. Student movement must be coordinated between the school and family according to the plan and direction of local authorities, ensuring absolute safety.

At the same time, educational institutions must prepare adequate drinking water, food, and provisions to ensure the daily needs of students staying at school during storms and floods; be ready to receive and support people to take shelter from rain, floods, landslides, flash floods in schools when safety is ensured.

Educational facilities must promptly repair damage, clean, disinfect, and sanitize schools/classrooms immediately after the storm, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and disease prevention; and prepare normal teaching and learning conditions immediately after the storm has passed.

Previously, on September 27, the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training issued a document requesting educational institutions in the province to allow students from kindergarten to high school to stay home on September 29 to ensure safety when storm Bualoi makes landfall.
