From today, you have returned to your comrades and teammates at the common home - the martyrs' cemetery of Giong Trom, Chau Hoa commune, Vinh Long province. The heroic martyrs here have new comrades. The remains of you, most of whom have been brought back, have not yet been identified by name, age, or hometown, but wherever your hometown is, you are all soldiers who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of your homeland. The blood of the heroic martyrs has blended into every inch of your homeland, coloring the glorious flag of the Fatherland, contributing to writing the glorious history of the nation and heroic homeland. We hope that the souls of the heroic martyrs will consider their homeland Vinh Long as a peaceful land to rest in peace. The souls of the heroic martyrs will live forever with the country. The Party Committee, government and people of Vinh Long province hope that the heroic martyrs will rest in peace with their comrades and teammates.
According to Vice President Nguyen Thi Be Muoi, the war has receded into the past for more than half a century, but that wound has not yet completely healed. The Party Committee, government and people of Vinh Long province are still in pain and worry because of the more than 70,000 martyrs who heroically fought and sacrificed in the struggle for national liberation and protection of the Fatherland. Vinh Long province currently has more than 3,900 martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the two resistance wars and on international missions whose remains have not been found, whose resting place is unknown to be brought to the martyrs' cemetery, and many martyrs' remains have not been identified, and their homeland is unknown.
According to the Steering Committee 515 of Vinh Long province, after more than a month of searching, with the coordination of Team K90 ( Political Department of Military Region 9) and local Party committees, authorities and people, the search force discovered and gathered 31 martyrs' remains at the temporary cemetery of Hoa Loi hamlet and Phong Hoa hamlet (Luong Hoa commune). These are all soldiers who fell in the two resistance wars, their names, ages and hometowns are unknown.
