Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung, born on March 21, 1974, hometown Tinh Hai commune, Tinh Gia district (now Hai Binh ward), Thanh Hoa province. He has the following qualifications: Master of Economics, Senior in Political Theory.
Before holding the position of Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, he held many important positions at the Ministry of Planning and Investment such as: Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Director of the Department of Local and Territorial Economy, Director of the Department of Infrastructure and Urban Areas; then held the position of Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment (2019 - 2020).
From March 2020 to November 2024, he served as Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province. On November 11, 2024, he was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term XIX, 2020 - 2025.
At the plenary session of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, the Nghe An Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term announced the results of the 1st Conference.
The 20th term Nghe An Provincial Party Executive Committee, consisting of 68 comrades, elected 17 members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary, 3 Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee and 11 members of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 20th term, 2025 - 2030 term.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung, Secretary of the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, was elected by the Executive Committee to be re-elected as Secretary of the 20th Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Comrades: Hoang Nghia Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the 19th Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Le Hong Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the 19th Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee were re-elected as Deputy Secretary of the 20th Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030; Vo Thi Minh Sinh, Deputy Secretary of the 19th Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation held the position of Deputy Secretary of the 20th Provincial Party Committee.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung delivered a speech accepting the assignment, thanking all the delegates of the Congress for their trust in the election and entrusting them with important responsibilities in the new term, 2025 - 2030. This is both an honor and a great responsibility before the Party Committee and people of the province.
