MMA fighter seriously injured after being hit: Needs type O blood for treatment

Boxer Dinh Trung Hieu is in need of support from the community, after he was hospitalized due to a serious injury at the LION Championship.

Boxer Dinh Trung Hieu needs more O blood transfusion

On July 12 at LION Championship 24, boxer Dinh Trung Hieu was hospitalized after being kicked by boxer Danh Quoc (in the 60 kg weight class, MMA). The boxer born in 2002 was injured at the 25th second, when his opponent kicked him straight in the stomach.

This was also a knockout blow for Danh Quoc, leaving Dinh Trung Hieu unable to continue the match. He fell to the floor, appeared in pain and asked to stop the match, before being taken to the emergency room.

After Dinh Trung Hieu was transferred to Viet Duc Hospital ( Hanoi ), doctors diagnosed him with bleeding and liver damage and needed emergency surgery. The surgery was performed on July 13, after which, martial artist Dinh Trung Hieu returned to the recovery room.

Currently, Dinh Trung Hieu needs more O blood transfusions during his recovery and preparation for further surgeries. The LION Championship organizers have called on the community to help Dinh Trung Hieu and the Ha Dong Fighters Unions Club during this difficult time.
