On the evening of April 1, the American International Primary, Secondary and High School Vietnam (AISVN International School) sent an email notification to all parents, updating the balance status of the account receiving donations to maintain school operations.

The AISVN International School Board said that as planned, a three-party co-owned bank account between the Department of Education and Training - the school - parents has been set up and notified to all parents around 12:30 this afternoon (April 1).

Immediately after the account was announced, many parents quickly contributed funds to maintain the school's operations until the end of the 2023-2024 school year, along with IB fees, facilities, etc.

By 5:00 p.m. the same day, the account balance was 15.6 billion VND. However, because the account had just been established, the transfer could not be made on the same day and an additional day was needed to resolve the issue of paying salaries to teachers. Students will not go to school tomorrow (April 2).

"The expected return date for all students will be Wednesday (April 3). The school will notify parents if there are any changes. Once again, we respectfully ask parents to rest assured and cooperate with the authorities and the school during this period," the announcement said.

The Department of Education and Training approved the money transfer order from the account.

Previously, at noon on April 1, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City informed about the contributions to support the operation of AISVN International School and sent the receiving account number to parents.

The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City also informed the co-owners of the account to receive funds from parents and the process of reviewing this account, including: Mr. Tran Khac Huy - Head of the Department of Finance and Planning of the Department of Education and Training (the first account owner approved the review of the final expenditure contents);

Mr. Ho Quang Trung (second account holder approved the first review of expenditure contents);

The representative of the parents' representative board is Ms. Tran Phuong Anh (supervising the first payment contents when the accountant of AISVN International School presents).

Regarding the expenditure control process, all parent contributions will be compiled, managed and transparently disclosed by the interdisciplinary working group.

The contribution amount will be approved by the professional department of the interdisciplinary team for proper spending, under the supervision of the representative of the AISVN International School Parents Association.

- Step 1 : The school's chief accountant, based on the detailed plan of approved expenditure items, will create a money transfer order and submit it to the parents' representative committee for supervision and approval.

- Step 2 : The second authorized account holder represents the school and agrees to approve the first time.

- Step 3 : The authorized person of the first account holder representing the Department of Education and Training approves to complete the money transfer order.
