In the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, Chu Van An Primary Boarding School (Tra Tap Commune) will have 20 classes with 471 students, of which more than 98% are ethnic minority children. To overcome the shortage of teachers, this year the school has contracted 7 more teachers, ensuring 2 sessions/day.
Teacher Truong Cong Mot - Principal of the school said, due to the mountainous characteristics and traffic disruption, in addition to doing a good job of mobilizing students to attend class, the school also invested in facilities and came up with teaching plans suitable to the new situation.
“Implementing the school year guidelines and Official Dispatch 4640 of the Ministry of Education and Training, we have adjusted teaching data to suit the characteristics of two-level local governments and changes in administrative boundaries, ensuring that the teaching program is fully and scientifically implemented,” said Mr. Mot.
To support parents and students with admission procedures, Tra Tap Commune Public Administration Service Center coordinates with schools, the Police and related sectors to create lists and create online applications for people.
“Many hamlets are far from the commune center, making it difficult for people to travel, while the new school year is about to start, the number of people doing administrative procedures will increase. Therefore, we carry out online some procedures on birth registration, confirmation of poor households, confirmation of residence..., and then send the results to people's homes. This helps save people's time and effort,” said Mr. Nguyen Do Tri, Deputy Director of Tra Tap Commune Public Administration Service Center.
Meanwhile, at Kim Dong Primary School (Nam Tra My Commune), investment in facilities and equipment is also focused. Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Principal of the school shared: "The school has proactively advised on building a multi-purpose house, a football field and creating a safe playground for students. We also established clubs and applied digital data to facilitate management and teaching."
According to Mr. Tran Van Man, Chairman of Nam Tra My Commune People's Committee, up to now, the facilities, school system and teaching staff in the area have basically met the needs.
“We have arranged staffing and professional contracts to ensure that all schools have enough teachers for the new school year. Although there are still many difficulties, with the attention of the government, the initiative of the education sector and the efforts of teachers and students, schools are basically ready and determined to bring students a better learning environment, helping their dreams take flight in the wilderness,” said Mr. Man.
