On August 1, Lak District People's Committee organized the 2023 Lak District Excellent Mediator Competition.
The competition was attended by more than 100 excellent mediators from 11 teams from communes and towns in the district. In the form of dramatization, the teams went through three rounds: introduction round; theory round and skit round.

The contest content focuses on learning about the mediation skills of mediators; laws on grassroots mediation; legal regulations in a number of areas related to grassroots mediation work, such as: civil, marriage and family, land, housing, gender equality, prevention and control of domestic violence, environmental protection... knowledge about society, ethics, good customs and practices, village covenants, cultural conventions; skills to reconcile conflicts, disputes, and violations of the law within the scope of grassroots mediation...

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the Buon Tria commune team; the second prize to Dak Lieng commune; two third prizes to the teams of Dak Nue commune and Bong Krang commune; and encouragement prizes to seven other units. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded two subsidiary prizes: one prize for the most impressive introduction team (Lien Son town) and one prize for the team with the best skit (Dak Nue commune).
