Building Tay Ninh into a strategic connection center in the new era

On the morning of October 9, the 1st Congress of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, opened with the participation of 447 delegates, representing 100 affiliated Party Committees, representing the intelligence and political mettle of more than 94,000 Party members in the entire Party Committee.

In his opening speech, Tay Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet emphasized: This Congress is a convergence of the will, belief and expectation of the Party Committee and people of the whole province. With the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the Congress demonstrates the highest political determination, creating the driving force to help Tay Ninh break through and move forward, accompanying the whole country into a new era of development.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet respectfully acknowledged and highly appreciated thousands of enthusiastic comments from cadres, party members and people contributing to the draft document, vividly demonstrating the people's trust and expectations for the Party.

Based on a comprehensive assessment of the situation, the Congress determined the direction for the province's development in the 2025-2030 period as rapid, sustainable and comprehensive development, with people as the center, enterprises as the driving force, innovation as the key and infrastructure as the support.

The merger of provinces is not only a requirement for reforming the apparatus but also a turning point opening up new development space, maximizing the potential, advantages and resources of two lands rich in revolutionary traditions, with many similarities in history and culture.

Tay Ninh aims to build the province into a strategic connection center between the Southeast region and the Mekong Delta; an important trade hub with Cambodia and the extended Mekong sub-region.

Important targets set for the 2026-2030 period include an average GRDP growth rate of 10-10.5%/year; GRDP per capita reaching 8,000-8,500 USD; urbanization rate reaching over 50%; striving to have no poor households by 2030 according to new standards...

Tay Ninh identified three strategic breakthroughs including administrative reform associated with the development of high-quality human resources; development of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, green transformation, circular economy and mobilizing all resources to invest in infrastructure, especially synchronous and modern transportation, connecting dynamic regions.

The first Congress of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee is expected to create a solid political foundation, unify will, arouse aspirations for development, promote revolutionary traditions and the spirit of innovation and creativity, contributing to building a prosperous, civilized, friendly Tay Ninh, worthy of being a strategic connection center in the new era of development of the country.

The 2020-2025 term is a turbulent period for Tay Ninh when it is severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, causing many losses to the economy and disrupting the supply chain. However, under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, Tay Ninh has demonstrated resilience and proactive adaptation, not only effectively controlling the epidemic but also achieving many outstanding achievements in many fields.

In the 2021-2025 period, the province's GRDP growth rate is estimated at 6.73%/year. Notably, in the first 9 months of 2025, the economic growth rate reached 9.52%, leading the provinces in the Southern region...

It is expected that by the end of 2025, the economic scale will reach nearly 352 trillion VND, ranking 10th in the country, while GRDP per capita is estimated at 4,776 USD.

The province's agricultural sector has achieved a growth rate of 3.64% per year; many specialized production areas, applying high technology, following GAP standards have been formed. Tourism has become a new bright spot with strong development, in which the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area has been invested in with modern, international standards.

Tay Ninh also made its mark in implementing social security policies: completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses before August 2025; exempting and reducing tuition fees for students at public educational institutions and maintaining the lowest poverty rate in the country./.
