According to initial information, at 5:45 p.m. on August 20, a scrap truck caught fire on the road through Bac Cuong ward, Lao Cai city.

At the above time, car with license plate 88H-022.XX, driven by driver Do Minh D. (35 years old), residing in Vinh Tuong district, Vinh Phuc province, suddenly caught fire when reaching Km1+400, provincial road 155.

Authorities were promptly present at the scene to deploy fire fighting measures, organize traffic flow and regulate traffic.

At about 7:00 p.m. the same day, the fire fighting was completed, fortunately there were no casualties; part of the cargo on the truck was burned.

The cause of the incident is being verified.
