Opening of the 1st Congress of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung suggested that Lao Cai province urgently establish a new growth model, restructure economic sectors, and create breakthroughs to achieve the double-digit growth target.

On the morning of September 29, Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee opened its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term with the participation of 440 official delegates representing over 119,000 party members in the entire Party Committee.

The Executive Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee, term I, 2025-2030, consists of 65 people; the Standing Committee consists of 17 members.

Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, holds the position of Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. The Deputy Secretaries include: Mr. Hoang Giang, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh and Ms. Giang Thi Dung.

In his speech directing the Congress, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung suggested that the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee should deeply understand the special strategic position of Lao Cai - a borderland, a solid "fence" of the Fatherland, and at the same time an international trade gateway on the Kunming-Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong economic corridor to always put the province's development in the common development of the Region and the whole country; actively integrate internationally in all fields with the goal of protecting the border, protecting the people, protecting the forest, protecting the water and protecting the environment.

The province needs to urgently establish a new growth model, restructure economic sectors based on science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation to create a strong enough breakthrough for Lao Cai to achieve its double-digit development target./.
