This year, 115 public high schools in Ho Chi Minh City recruited 70,070 students for grade 10. This year, 76,435 candidates registered for the grade 10 entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City, a decrease of 27,330 students compared to last year.

This year is also the first year that grade 9 students take the grade 10 entrance exam under the new program.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the admission scores for specialized 10th grade of two specialized high schools, including Le Hong Phong Specialized High School (District 5) and Tran Dai Nghia Specialized High School (Thu Duc City) and the integrated 10th grade admission scores for high schools enrolling in integrated programs.

According to the Department's regulations, candidates admitted to specialized or integrated 10th grade must confirm their admission by June 25. If they do not confirm their admission, they will be considered for admission based on their 3 regular 10th grade wishes.
