11 district secretaries and deputy secretaries in Quang Nam asked for early retirement.

(Dan Tri) - 8 secretaries and 3 deputy secretaries of district party committees along with a number of leaders of departments and branches of Quang Nam province have submitted applications to the Standing Committee of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee requesting early retirement.

On February 10, the leader of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee said that 26 officials under the management of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee had submitted applications for early retirement. Among them were 8 secretaries and 3 deputy secretaries of district Party Committees, along with a number of leaders of departments and branches.

According to the provincial Party Committee leaders, the early retirement of officials demonstrates the spirit of sacrifice for the common cause, aiming to arrange and streamline the apparatus in the most effective way. At the same time, this also creates conditions for young leaders to promote their intelligence and talent in the current context.

Currently, the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee has only received resignation requests from officials and has not yet made an official decision on whether to allow the resignation or not.

Previously, during a working session with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the afternoon of February 8, Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, said that the Provincial Party Standing Committee had summarized and continued to implement Resolution 18 of the Central Committee on organizational and apparatus arrangement.

Up to now, Quang Nam province has reduced from 19 to 13 departments and branches and reduced 21.8% of the focal points within the departments and branches. The province has also established the Provincial Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee and the Party Committee of the Party bloc and the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee.

Currently, Quang Nam province has 443 cadres who wish to and have submitted applications for early retirement or resignation, including 23 cadres under the management of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
