12 years of dedication to the young generation

Mr. Nguyen Kim Huy Bang, born in 1991, is currently an Office Civil Servant - Statistics Officer of Ward 5 People's Committee, My Tho City, Tien Giang Province. With nearly 13 years of dedicated service to the Youth Union and youth movement, Mr. Bang is a typical example awarded the "For the Young Generation" Medal by the Central Youth Union.

Mr. Bang's journey of dedication began in 2012, when he held the position of Member of the Executive Committee of Ward 5 Youth Union and Secretary of the Youth Union of Ward 9. Since then, he has held many positions such as: Deputy Secretary of Ward 5 Youth Union, Secretary of Ward 5 Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union Committee of Ward 5 and Member of the Executive Committee of the My Tho City Youth Union. Notably, from April 2020 to present, he has also been a member of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Ward 5.

During his working process, Mr. Bang and the Ward 5 Youth Union have achieved many outstanding achievements, contributing significantly to the development of the Youth Union and the local youth movement. The branches and associations have been firmly consolidated, many new clubs have been established such as: Law Club, Hiphop Club, International Dance Club, Volunteer Youth Team, Shock Youth Team... in which, the Boarding House Youth Club is highly appreciated by the City Youth Union.

In addition, Mr. Bang has also mobilized a large number of union members and youths to participate in meaningful projects and tasks such as: Cleaning up, clearing canals, with a total of 289 events with more than 2,445 union members and youths participating. The annual military recruitment and military service always reaches 100%. He personally has participated in humanitarian blood donation 5 times, demonstrating the spirit of initiative and volunteering.

Typical examples are the science and technology transfer classes on cultivation and animal husbandry, attracting thousands of union members and young people to participate. The program “Lighting up dreams” has awarded scholarships to 90 students in difficult circumstances. Organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival for children and giving gifts to those who overcome difficulties and study well are also maintained annually, with a total value of up to hundreds of millions of VND.

In particular, Mr. Bang is a dynamic young person, always at the forefront of creating and applying new models. Some outstanding initiatives include: "Startup Fair" (2017), "Charity Bus following Uncle Ho's words" (2019) to raise funds from scrap, "Propaganda of the Resolution of the Youth Union Congresses at all levels using Google Meet tool" (2020), "Youth trash can model following Uncle Ho's words to join hands to protect the environment" bringing in significant funds for Youth Union activities. Most recently, the initiatives "Digital Transformation Street" (2023) and "360-degree virtual reality tour with presentation" (2024)...

With his contributions in the past time, Mr. Bang has been honored to receive many Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Youth Union and the Central Youth Union, notably the Certificate of Merit for winning the Third Prize at the Provincial Youth Union Secretary Competition in 2014; Third Prize at the National Young Civil Servants' Information Technology Competition in 2023 and First Prize at the Tien Giang Province Youth Union Secretary Competition in 2023.
