(NLDO) - After eating 4 scallops for 1.4 million VND, an anonymous account posted on social media to call on "everyone to avoid this restaurant".


On February 1 (the 4th day of Tet), the People's Committee of Ward 2, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province and related units worked with the owner O.D (Hoang Hoa Tham Street, Vung Tau City) after this restaurant was "accused" by tourists on social networks.

Previously, an anonymous account posted on a social networking group about a bad experience when visiting a restaurant in Vung Tau City.

Rumor has it that this restaurant has the same owner as the Night Market Seafood restaurant which is often criticized." Along with that is a picture of the restaurant's bill.

According to this bill, on the evening of January 31 (the third day of Tet), a customer visited O.D restaurant to eat. The grilled Japanese scallops with scallion oil were priced at 1.2 million VND/kg; Thai hotpot with stingray was 250,000 VND... The total bill was more than 1.7 million VND, of which 1.2kg of Japanese scallops cost more than 1.4 million VND.

In the comment section, this anonymous account also added that at first he intended to order 6 scallops but then the staff said that because the scallops were big, he should let 4 eat first. However, when it came to paying, this person was shocked because 4 Japanese scallops cost more than 1.4 million VND.

After the article was posted on social media, many people shared, commented and the article was re-shared by several other groups. Many people thought that the price of 4 scallops at over 1.4 million VND was too expensive. Some people advised tourists to report to local authorities for handling.

As soon as the article was published, Ward 2 People's Committee received the information and then sent a delegation to work with this restaurant.

It is known that at the time of the ward inspection, this facility had posted the selling price of goods, presented documents related to the operation and invoices for the purchase of goods. According to the authorities, the price of Japanese scallops imported by this facility was 920,000 VND/kg.

The authorities have recorded the entire incident, worked with the restaurant representative and continued to handle the case according to regulations.
