Four of the six victims who died were children.

(NLDO) - According to authorities, the 6 victims who died in the particularly serious traffic accident were related to each other.

Mr. Phan Huy Chuong, Deputy Head of the Traffic Safety Committee of Nghe An province, said that on the morning of January 13, representatives of the committee went to the scene to visit and encourage the families of the victims of the particularly serious traffic accident, and initially supported the deceased victims with 5 million VND/person.

Previously, as reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , at around 5:00 p.m. on January 12, when the truck with license plate 37C-537.xx driven by driver VVH (born in 1982, residing in Luu Kien commune, Tuong Duong district, Nghe An) carrying dong leaves passed through Tham Khin village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province, it suddenly crashed into a house on the roadside.

The accident left 5 people dead at the scene, 1 person died on the way to the emergency room.

At the scene of the accident, part of the house used for selling groceries was collapsed and damaged by the truck. The victims were crushed by the truck along with concrete blocks and motorbikes lying around. The identities of the deceased victims include: VTP (born in 2018), VXĐ. (born in 2016), V.YD. (born in 2005), VYM (born in 2014), VYD (born in 2023) and LTK, all residing in Nam Can commune.

According to the leader of Nam Can Commune People's Committee, the victims were related to each other, and their family circumstances were quite difficult. Among the four children who died, two lived with their grandmother because their parents worked far away.

Upon receiving the news, the authorities were present to examine the scene.

The truck driver was detained by police shortly afterwards.

Currently, the cause of the particularly serious traffic accident that killed 6 people is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
