Cockles can be processed into many different dishes such as cockle porridge, grilled cockles, cockle wine, but the most delicious and creating the specialty brand of Ha Long is cockle mixed vermicelli.

3. Dong Tao Chicken

Dong Tao chicken or Dong Cao chicken is a unique and very rare breed of chicken found only in Hung Yen . The outstanding feature of this breed of chicken is its ugly legs, big and rough legs, when mature it can weigh over 4.5 kg and over 3.5 kg. Not only does it have delicious meat, the special thing that makes the price of this breed of chicken very expensive is its legs. 4. Nine-spurred chicken

For a long time, this chicken has been known as a rare breed of chicken in Vietnam. According to legend, in the past, the 9-spur chicken was a product offered to the king and it is also associated with the legend of Son Tinh and Thuy Tinh. Nowadays, the best development of the 9-spur chicken is in Tan Son ( Phu Tho ). The price of the 9-spur chicken is many times higher than that of normal chickens.

During Tet, the price of chickens can fluctuate from 600,000 to 1 million VND. However, apart from a few rare purebred nine-spur chickens, no one has successfully bred this breed of chicken. However, users still accept to buy crossbred chickens with 6, 7 or 8 spurs to worship their ancestors. For chickens with 5-6 spurs, the price ranges from 400,000 to 500,000 VND/kg. 7-spur chickens cost 900,000 to 1 million VND/kg. If the chickens are offered to the king with 8 spurs, the price will be from 2-3 million VND/kg. The special type of chicken with 9 spurs costs up to 9,990,000 VND/pair.

5. Parrot fish

Anh Vu fish, also known as Tien Vua fish, is one of the most famous fish in Vietnam because of its rarity and deliciousness. This fish is very picky, only eats algae and lives in clear water, not omnivorous like many other fish, so many people think that they represent luxury.

Since ancient times, this fish has been given the title "Van Lang's number one fish" and is among the top products that must be paid as tribute, so it is not surprising that the Anh Vu fish has a very "huge" price.

The price of the Anh Vu fish is also based on its weight. Specifically, each Anh Vu fish weighing 2kg or less costs 1.4 million, and each fish weighing 5kg or more costs 1.6 million. If the value of the Dong Tao chicken or the nine-spur chicken lies in its legs, then the wide mouth, also known as the "pig snout" of the Anh Vu fish, is the part that costs the most money and effort for gourmets.

This fish is a river specialty, often found in the upper reaches of the Red River, Ky Cung River and Lam River systems (Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Hoa Binh, Lang Son, Nghe An provinces)...

6. Catfish

Because the fish's beak is very long and tubular and the mouth flares out like the mouth of a lime pot, fishermen named this fish "lime key".

The pipefish, also known as Hai Long, spearfish, has bright red skin and a long, eel-like body, but is not as slippery as an eel. Adults can reach a meter in length and weigh about 1kg. There is currently no consistent information about the origin of this fish species. However, the pipefish lives in the whirlpools where the Saigon River and Dong Nai River meet, a place also known as the “tea” water area because it has both saltwater, brackish water and fresh water. Currently, the amount of natural pipefish on the Nha Be River is scarce due to people's fishing activities.

The white-bellied fish is a precious seafood specialty, sought after by gourmets at a price of 1 - 1.3 million VND. Due to over-fishing, this fish has become scarce. That is why the price is increasing day by day. But the more scarce it is, the more people are willing to spend money to enjoy it.
