The 7th annual bilateral talks between India and Nepal are scheduled to take place from November 6-8 in New Delhi, under the chairmanship of Director General of the Border Security Force (SSB) of India Rashmi Shukla and Inspector General of the Armed Police Force (APF) of Nepal Raju Aryal. These annual talks have been held alternately in India and Nepal since 2012.

India stated that the talks serve as a platform for the two countries to discuss the border issue. The objective of the talks by the SSB and APF delegations is to enhance coordination and effective management of the India-Nepal border. The focus of the talks is to develop a mechanism for cooperation in combating cross-border crimes and exchange of information and communication between the two forces.

In another development, an Indian Air Force C-130 flight arrived in Nepal on November 5, carrying relief supplies worth about $1.2 million, including tents, blankets, tarpaulins, essential medicines and medical equipment.

The first batch of emergency relief supplies has arrived in Nepal's Nepalgunj region, the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu confirmed.

Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava handed over the relief consignment on behalf of the government to Nepal's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka, in the presence of Karnali provincial chief Raj Kumar Sharma.

Earlier, on the night of November 3, Nepal suffered a 6.4 magnitude earthquake that killed 157 people and injured more than 250. Therefore, India has provided necessary assistance to help the victims of the recent incident.
