Every Independence Day, September 2, the poetic Kien Giang River in Le Thuy Commune (Quang Tri), the hometown of General Vo Nguyen Giap, becomes the stage for a special festival: traditional boat racing. This is not only a sport activity, but has become a long-standing cultural feature, deeply imprinted in the memories and pride of the people here.

From early morning, both banks of Kien Giang were filled with flags, the sound of drums, gongs and cheers echoed throughout the river. The colorful racing boats raced with the enthusiastic cheers of tens of thousands of spectators. The teams will compete in the qualifying round and be divided into 2 groups A and B to compete.
