Tropical depression intensifies, about 360km from Hoang Sa special zone

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 7:00 p.m. on August 28, the center of the tropical depression was at about 15.3 degrees North latitude; 115.1 degrees East longitude in the North East Sea, about 360km East Southeast of Hoang Sa special zone.

The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 6-7 (39-61 km/h), gusting to level 9. Moving west at a speed of 10 km/h.

Commenting specifically on the development of the tropical depression, Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam, Deputy Director of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, said that as of 7 p.m. on August 29, the tropical depression in the Hoang Sa special zone with strong winds of level 8, gusts of level 10, was moving in the West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 15-20 km/h.

The affected area is the North East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone), the North of the central East Sea. Disaster risk level 3.

At 7:00 p.m. on August 30, the tropical depression in the sea of ​​Nghe An reached Hue city with strong winds of level 8, gusts of level 10; moving in the West Northwest direction at a speed of 20km/h.

The affected area is the western sea area of ​​the North East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone), the sea area from Nghe An to Hue city. Disaster risk level 3.

From the next 48 to 72 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move mainly in the West direction, about 20km per hour and gradually weaken.

Due to the impact of the tropical depression, the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) and the sea area north of the central East Sea area have strong winds of level 6-7, gusts of level 9; waves 2-4m high, rough seas.

Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by storms, whirlwinds, strong winds and big waves./.
