(QNO) - At the meeting with the Department of Construction and the Department of Planning and Investment on the afternoon of January 15, the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council did not agree with the proposal of the Department of Construction in submitting to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and supplementation of the planning of 17 new mineral mines for common construction materials in the 20th session of the Provincial People's Council, term X.

At the meeting, the Department of Construction proposed that the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council review and report to the Provincial People's Council to consider and add 17 new mineral mines, remove 136 mineral mines, and adjust the coordinates and areas of 48 different mines. According to this agency, the total number of mines after removal and addition to the planning will be 621 mines (132 construction stone mines, 180 sand and gravel mines, 102 brick and tile clay mines, and 207 landfill mines).

However, due to the inconsistent opinions of the delegates, especially the 17 additional mining sites that were involved in the planning of three types of forests, and the necessity of planning these mining sites could not be explained, the Economic - Budget Committee did not approve the proposal of the Department of Construction at the upcoming meeting.

The Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council requests the Department of Construction to review and compare specific and accurate data in accordance with the statistics of the Department of Planning and Investment. Review, evaluate and fully analyze the reasonableness of the addition and adjustment of mining points and get opinions from departments and branches, report to the People's Council for consensus, consideration and approval at future People's Council meetings.
