The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province has announced impressive figures for the tourism industry during the recent National Day holiday. Accordingly, the province welcomed more than 293,000 visitors, an increase of 12.5% over the same period in 2024, bringing in a record revenue of 623 billion VND, an increase of 10%. The number of overnight guests also reached 110,250, an increase of 9.5%, showing the strong attraction of the great land.
This success comes from a series of vibrant and diverse cultural and tourism activities, stretching from the sea to the highlands, creating a colorful and attractive tourism picture.

On the occasion of National Day this year, Gia Lai has combined traditional and modern cultural elements to attract tourists. Activities such as immersing in the Central Highlands gong culture, enjoying local cuisine , visiting OCOP products, performing martial arts and Bai Choi have brought unique and unforgettable experiences.
In the Eastern Gia Lai region, the festival "The Quintessence of the Great Forest - Convergence of the Blue Sea in 2025" recreated the majestic beauty of the blue sea, white sand, mountains and forests along with the rich history and culture of this land.
Visitors not only experience the unique cultural and culinary space but also witness impressive tuna filleting performances performed by domestic and Japanese chefs.

Miss Vietnam Tourism Ambassador 2024 Dinh Thi Hoa expressed her impression: “I am very honored to see the chefs perform tuna filleting and enjoy fresh, delicious tuna sashimi right at the event. I hope these activities take place regularly so that tourists can experience them when coming to Gia Lai.”
Besides, the street festival with the theme "Colors of the sea" contributed to promoting the image, tourism potential and unique culture of Gia Lai province.
In the West Gia Lai area, on the night of September 2, Dai Doan Ket Square, Pleiku ward became the center of attention with the art program "Harmony of sea and sky - Shining quintessence". More than 1,000 artists brought unique performances, ending with a brilliant high-altitude fireworks display, attracting a large number of people and tourists.

The program conveyed the message of a Gia Lai that converges the quintessence from the ocean to the great plateau, demonstrating the new vitality and opening of the door to integration of this land.
Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hien, residing in Thong Nhat ward, Gia Lai, shared: "This is the first time in Pleiku that I have witnessed art performances inspired by the sea with the fishing ceremony, Bai Choi... The interweaving of the culture of the Central Highlands people combined with coastal folk songs has helped our people to be more proud of the cultural values we possess."
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province, said that the province has deployed a series of tourism and cultural experience activities and directed accommodation establishments, tourist areas and restaurants to carefully prepare facilities and human resources, as well as build activities with regional identities.
Notable tourist attractions such as Dai Doan Ket Square and Pleiku Museum welcomed 31,000 visitors thanks to vibrant cultural and artistic activities. In addition, natural landscapes such as Eo Gio (15,000 visitors), Ghenh Rang (8,500 visitors), Ky Co (8,200 visitors) and Pleiku Sea Lake (3,000 visitors) also attracted a large number of visitors, affirming the diverse and rich tourism potential of Gia Lai.
