Arrested former Director of Land Registration Office of Vinh Chau Town

On June 17, news from the Investigation Police Agency of Vinh Chau Town Police, the unit has just deployed the decision to prosecute the accused, execute the order to temporarily detain Mr. Tran Huu Dung (43 years old), former Director of the Branch of the Land Registration Office of Vinh Chau Town, to investigate the act of irresponsibility causing serious consequences.

Mr. Tran Huu Dung is currently Deputy Head of the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, under the Land Registration Office of Soc Trang province.

Along with the decision to prosecute the defendant, the Vinh Chau Town Police Investigation Agency also searched Mr. Dung's residence and workplace to serve the investigation.

Mr. Tran Huu Dung (right cover) was prosecuted and temporarily detained.

According to the police, in 2018, when holding the position of Director of the Vinh Chau Town Land Registration Office Branch, Mr. Dung was irresponsible in checking the records, leading to the Vinh Chau Town People's Committee issuing certificates of land use rights for 3 plots of land to people that overlapped with the land plot of Vinh Phuoc Salt, Shrimp, Artemia Production and Service Cooperative (Vinh Chau Town), causing a loss of nearly 3 billion VND.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Vinh Chau Town Police continues to investigate and clarify the irresponsible behavior causing serious consequences for the former Director of the Branch of the Vinh Chau Town Land Registration Office.
