Ensuring stable jobs and income for workers
According to the report of Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV), in 2024, TKV maintained stable employment and income for workers. When affected by Typhoon Yagi , the units quickly arranged for workers to return to work after nearly a week of recovery.

Occupational safety and hygiene and improving working conditions are the top priorities of TKV. Throughout the production and business process, the entire Group has invested in this work with a total amount of 1.4 trillion VND, equal to 101.7% of the plan.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ngo Hoang Ngan - Chairman of the Board of Members of TKV said: 2024 is the third consecutive year that TKV has had effective business. Thanks to that, TKV has supplemented salaries for units at the end of the year to share the benefits between employers and employees.

The Group has adjusted the salary for employees from July 1, 2024, with an average increase of 16.5% for direct workers; 39% for auxiliary workers; and 18% for the minimum industry wage. At the same time, the minimum salary for trained employees is stipulated to be no lower than VND 10.2 million/person/month.
At the same time, welfare regimes for employees are guaranteed, the group has adjusted the visiting, vacation, and treatment support regimes; visiting regimes for relatives of families whose relatives have died or have lost 81% of their health due to work accidents; The Group's units have agreed to pay Lunar New Year 2025 money to employees at the rate of 10 million VND/person.
" In particular, in 2024, the Party Committee and the Board of Members of the Group have approved a number of orientations on the scale of construction of housing for single and underground workers of the Group. This is a breakthrough policy in welfare policy for workers " - Mr. Ngo Hoang Ngan affirmed.
According to the report, in 2024, the average salary of the whole TKV will reach 17.95 million VND/person/month, an increase of 9.2% compared to the plan and an increase of 1.1% compared to the implementation in 2023; of which the underground coal block is 20.5 million VND/person/month.

Along with that, the group still focuses on training and improving the qualifications of workers. The total expenditure for training and improving the qualifications in 2024 is 965 billion VND.
In addition, authorities and unions at all levels continue to listen, absorb and promptly resolve workers' opinions, actively participate in dialogue, and together build harmonious labor relations...
With the spirit of solidarity, discipline and unity, the Group has overcome difficulties and challenges in 2024, especially overcoming super typhoon No. 3 (typhoon Yagi) to soon stabilize production. Thereby, helping the total labor productivity of the whole Group reach 306.7 million VND/person/year, an increase of 15.5% compared to the plan.
Seven key tasks in 2025
Directing at the conference, Mr. Ngo Hoang Ngan emphasized: In 2025, the Party, National Assembly and Government have determined the GDP growth target in 2025 to reach 8% or more, contributing to creating a solid foundation to achieve double-digit growth rate in the period 2026 - 2030.
To successfully implement the goals and tasks of 2025, Mr. Ngo Hoang Ngan requested units and unit leaders to closely coordinate with trade union organizations to perform well the following 7 tasks:

Firstly , strictly implement the contents of Directive No. 110/CT-TKV dated March 14, 2025 of the Group's Board of Directors on proactive solutions to ensure adequate coal supply for electricity production and strive for 8% growth in 2025 and the 2026-2030 period...
Second , pay special attention to improving the working environment and working conditions for employees; continue to review and improve the quality of building processes, regulations, and safe working measures; Strive for the average salary of the whole Group to reach over 18 million VND/person/month. If possible, continue to study increasing salaries for employees.
Third , continue to research policies to attract and retain workers, not only for workers in mines but also for technical and professional staff with university degrees in mining; TKV Trade Union well implements the Project of Trade Union participating in housing care for workers in the period 2024-2028.
Fourth , continue to study, adjust and supplement a number of regulations on health care, visiting, giving gifts, condolence visits, and meetings with retired officials for leaders, employees and policy beneficiaries in the Group.
Fifth , continue to effectively implement the Group Restructuring Project until 2025 and develop the Group Restructuring Project for the next phase with the goal of streamlining the organization and improving TKV's operational efficiency.
Sixth , be proactive, actively study and be creative in implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo "on breakthroughs in scientific and technological development, technology, innovation and national digital transformation”; innovate, apply modern advanced technology, actively deploy Mechanization - Automation - Informatization in all production stages, contributing to increasing productivity and enhancing occupational safety and hygiene; Determined to effectively implement the digital transformation project, especially in management and operation.
