Da Nang Border Guard supports bringing patient from Cu Lao Cham island to shore for emergency treatment

On the afternoon of September 29, the Da Nang City Border Guard Command received a report from the People's Committee of Tan Hiep Commune about two seriously ill patients on Cu Lao Cham Island who needed to be taken to the mainland for emergency treatment.

Specifically, Ms. Nguyen Thi Q. (born in 1944, residing in Bai Lang village, Tan Hiep commune, Da Nang city) was diagnosed with a stroke and Mr. Tran Van T. (born in 1970, residing in Bai Ong village, Tan Hiep commune, Da Nang city) was diagnosed with gastrointestinal bleeding.

Immediately afterwards, the Da Nang City Border Guard Command dispatched boat BP 08.1501 and 5 officers and soldiers from Border Guard Squadron 2 Son Tra to the island to provide support.

At 12:15 p.m. the same day, the rescue team received two patients from Cu Lao Cham Border Guard Station and Military-Civilian Medical Station, urgently brought them ashore via CT15 port to transfer to a medical facility for further emergency care and treatment.

Over the past few days, due to the impact of storm No. 10, the sea has been very rough, so all ships going to and from Cu Lao Cham Island have stopped operating.
