Sohu newspaper reported that in recent days, Chinese social networks have exploded with controversy over the story of a 6-year-old girl who had to clean up the dishes for the entire class for 3 weeks straight.
More surprisingly, the girl was expelled from school after her parents complained to the school that their child was being treated unfairly.

On November 22, Mr. Yu, the girl's father, in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, northern China, posted a video showing his daughter, who is in kindergarten, being tasked with washing dishes for a class of 25 students for 20 consecutive days.
“In the early days, the children always came home drenched in sweat and said they were very tired,” Mr. Yu shared in the video.
One night, the daughter woke up in the middle of the night and said, "Daddy, I don't want to go to school anymore. I'm so tired of cleaning up the dishes. While the other kids are playing, I'm the only one washing the dishes."
He asked the school and was told that the child was too hyperactive and only took naps when tired. Notably, after reporting the incident, his daughter became the target of harassment.
Not long after, the teacher announced that the child was expelled. Mr. Yu's family was extremely upset because they did not receive any information or reason for this. " Up to now, the school or the teacher have not given any explanation," Mr. Yu said.

On SCMP, the school principal said he would take legal action against the girl's father for spreading false information that affected the school's reputation.
The school's legal counsel insisted they had never engaged in any illegal or inappropriate conduct with children and the school had the right to expel students if they did not comply with its rules.
"It is likely that other children were asked by the teacher to clean up their lunch trays, not just his daughter. Children may see helping the teacher as the right thing to do."
On November 23, the local Department of Education announced that it would investigate the incident and make the information public.
The incident has sparked a wave of criticism on Chinese social media. “They never gave a clear explanation for expelling the child, only citing the violation of school rules. How far can a 6-year-old child go in violating rules and regulations?” one social media user said.
"The teacher should be suspended and the principal should be held responsible. The child is innocent, what did she do wrong?" , another commented.
