The secret to "beating stress" of the female top student in block C

With a relaxed mindset and passion for exploring knowledge, Le Khanh Nguyen (born 2007, Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted, Da Nang) achieved perfect scores in History and Geography and 9.5 in Literature.

"When the clock struck 8 o'clock, I quickly went into the system to check my score. I checked it 3 times to be sure. And then I was overwhelmed when I found out that I got a total of 29.5 points. I was even more surprised when I became the valedictorian of the C00 block of Da Nang City. I think this result is luck, and also the result of my constant efforts. Actually, it's all in my 'family secret to studying'" - Khanh Nguyen recalled.

Study with a positive spirit

Nguyen carried his dream of pursuing literature at the Danang Pedagogical University.

As a Literature major with outstanding achievements in his favorite subject, few people know that Nguyen used to be an average student in this subject.

Nguyen shared that during his primary school years, he did not like literature. But since being praised by his 5th grade teacher, Nguyen "broke out of his cocoon", shed his self-conscious shell and started to take an interest in literature. "Sometimes a simple word of encouragement is enough to change a good future" - Nguyen said.

Since then, the little girl has been passionate about reading books and studying literature with a positive spirit. Thanks to literature, she has become more open-minded, closer to nature, loves her homeland and has a deeper understanding of herself and life.

Nguyen came to the two subjects of History and Geography with a special interest in people and the world around him. Thanks to his passion for sociology, Nguyen proactively learned and researched documents, thereby building a solid foundation of knowledge and confidently conquering the 2025 high school exam with impressive scores.

"There are also times when I am under pressure with important exams, difficult assignments... I choose to go to sleep to beat the stress or read children's books to soothe my soul. I have to heal my chaotic emotional world inside before opening my heart to receive knowledge. Thanks to that, I receive knowledge deeply and understand the nature of the problem" - Nguyen confided.

"3-phase" learning method

Nguyen received knowledge with a comfortable mentality and stored a scientific , methodical learning method and achieved high results.

In the first stage, she collected knowledge, built a rich and interesting knowledge base, serving the subject and field of study. Instead of backing up information with images, Nguyen memorized it with sound by listening attentively to lectures, taking notes of keywords, main ideas, good words, recording data about the lesson in class to listen to again.

After storing a huge amount of knowledge, Khanh Nguyen synthesizes, analyzes data, selects keywords, and ponders the nature of the problem.

For Literature, I have a solid grasp of literary theory. For History, I group the basic content (including events, context, causes, and meanings) and summarize common mistakes. As for Geography, a rather "challenging" subject for Nguyen, I am exposed to multi-dimensional knowledge in class, online, and from my own experiences with local places and cultures...

And the final stage is practicing questions and writing. My sources of questions come from teachers, friends, the internet, mainly reference questions from provinces and cities this year. Nguyen believes that practicing questions helps me not only receive diverse knowledge but also form the ability to connect and synthesize the knowledge I have received. From there, I clearly assess my own strengths and limitations to overcome and improve further.

A happy family that creates favorable conditions for children to study is the basic foundation for a young girl to receive knowledge comprehensively.

Happy when her daughter achieved high results, Mrs. Vuong Thi Hong Hanh (Khanh Nguyen's mother) shared: "My family is very happy that my child's efforts have been rewarded.
