At the area where the Ban Thach Riverside Landscape Park project is expected to be implemented (in Tan Thanh ward), Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet listened to the Tam Ky City People's Committee report on the project-related contents.

Regarding the urgency of implementing the project, Mr. Nguyen Minh Nam - Vice Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Committee said that the area where the project will be implemented, the Ky Phu - Ban Thach river branch at Doan Trai block has been buried, changing the flow status for a long time, and needs to be cleared and dredged.

In addition, the completion of technical infrastructure and landscape along Ban Thach river will create a highlight of the city's urban landscape, meeting the living needs of the community and people's entertainment, contributing to the completion of the criteria for a type I urban area.

The scale of the project will be divided into 2 investment phases. Phase 1 will establish an investment project including the following items: Anti-erosion system in Doan Trai residential area; construction of bridge and road over Ban Thach river; restoration of irrigation canal in Doan Trai field; dredging and clearing Ban Thach river; completion of Bach Dang road... Estimated implementation time is from 2025-2026.

Phase 2 will focus on completing technical infrastructure items in the park, including: tree system, soft embankment, internal roads, electricity system... These items are expected to be implemented in the period 2027-2028.

The total investment of the entire project is expected to be more than 150 billion VND. Currently, Tam Ky City is implementing the step of establishing the master plan (1/500) and carrying out the investment project preparation.

Next, the working delegation inspected the landslide area of ​​Tam Ky riverbank (in An Son ward) - the planned location for the project of Anti-erosion embankment combined with Tam Ky riverside landscape and resettlement area.

According to the People's Committee of Tam Ky City, this project plays an important role in preventing landslides on the northern bank of Tam Ky River (from the new Tam Ky Bridge to the old Tam Ky Bridge). At the same time, it gradually completes the infrastructure, arranges residents in the area and creates a highlight for the city's urban landscape.

The project has an area of ​​about 9.2 hectares, with a total estimated investment of more than 499 billion VND. Currently, Tam Ky City has disbursed money for all the construction areas of the embankment below. For the remaining embankment items on the shore, Tam Ky City is carrying out the appraisal of the plot map. The project is expected to start construction in December 2024.
