1,000 billion VND to build a system to collect and treat rainwater and wastewater in Quang Ngai

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang has just signed a decision approving the Project on Rainwater and Wastewater Collection and Treatment System of Quang Ngai City in the Southern Basin of the Lower Tra Khuc River with a total investment of 1,000 billion VND.

Accordingly, the Project on Rainwater and Wastewater Collection and Treatment System in Quang Ngai City, Southern Basin of the Lower Tra Khuc River, is invested by the Provincial Management Board of Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Projects, with a total investment of 1,000 billion VND.

Project overview on an area of ​​725 hectares

The project has a research scope of 725 hectares, divided into 5 basins for collecting wastewater and rainwater, including Bau Ca lake basin, Bau Ca canal, Tam Thuong wharf, Nghia Chanh lake and Bau He canal.

Construction items include canals, wells, pipelines, manholes, wastewater pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants, monitoring equipment, pressure pipelines, wastewater treatment plants, etc. Currently, the investor is urgently implementing the next procedures to be eligible to start the project in the fourth quarter of 2025.

The project's objective is to gradually ensure the drainage of rainwater and wastewater from urban areas within the project area that are draining into the southern basin of the Tra Khuc River. Coordinate with projects along the Tra Khuc River in a reasonable manner to maximize efficiency, the proposed investment target, and the project's usage period is 50 years.
