Ministry of Education and Training extends admission confirmation time after "unfair failure" incident

(Dan Tri) - After the incident of high-scoring candidates failing university entrance exams in an inexplicable way, the Ministry of Education and Training has just extended the time for confirming the first round of online admissions on the system.

Accordingly, the general admission support system (thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn) will continue to open until 5:00 p.m. on September 2, for candidates to confirm their admission.

According to previous regulations, candidates must confirm their first round of online admission on the system before 5:00 p.m. on August 30.

However, this year's university entrance exam had many errors that caused a series of candidates to go from passing to failing and vice versa. Currently, many candidates have not yet finished processing the "passing" or "failing" issue.

Thus, compared to the old schedule, the time for confirming admission was postponed by the Ministry of Education and Training by 3 days.

This year, the high school graduation exam is held with subjects for both students studying the 2018 general education program and students studying under the new exam plan.

At the same time, the Ministry of Education and Training continues to organize exams for students studying under the 2006 general education program who have not graduated or need to retake the exam for university admission.

From 5:00 p.m. on July 23, training institutions will announce the scores for receiving application documents and equivalent converted admission scores on the system and on the websites of the training institutions.

From July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5, candidates pay admission fees online on the system.

Training institutions will notify candidates who have passed the first round of admission from 5:00 p.m. on August 22. Candidates will confirm their first round of admission online on the system from 5:00 p.m. on August 30. Training institutions (with remaining quotas) will notify additional admissions from September 1.
