According to the Ministry of Transport , a number of North-South expressway component projects such as Cao Bo - Mai Son, Mai Son - National Highway 45, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay, Nha Trang - Cam Lam... have been inspected and put into temporary operation by the State Inspection Council.
To ensure safe management, operation and connection with existing routes in the component projects put into temporary operation, the Ministry of Transport has just issued a document requesting the Project Management Boards, Ninh Binh Department of Transport, and Nha Trang - Cam Lam Expressway Investment Company Limited to manage and operate the temporary routes until official handover.
At the same time, these units must also be responsible for promptly detecting any shortcomings or problems arising during the temporary exploitation process in order to have plans and instructions for handling.
“The units must also organize supervision and direct construction contractors, management and maintenance contractors to comply with approved operation and maintenance procedures, provide sufficient necessary equipment to ensure safety for people and vehicles during the process of both operation and construction, and complete construction items on the route according to regulations in Article 115 of the Construction Law during the temporary operation period...”, the Ministry of Transport requested.
To implement the above contents, the Ministry of Transport requested the Vietnam Road Administration to urgently develop a draft "Regulations on management, exploitation and maintenance of temporarily operated expressways", to submit to the Ministry of Transport for consideration and promulgation in May.
