Due to the small scale, the fan meeting ticket price is quite affordable for the majority of audiences, while the opportunity to interact with the artists at close range is also an attractive reason. Despite the small scale, the artists are willing to spend and invest in the performances at these events. For example, Toc Tien chose the circus as the venue for her exchange event, from which she had impressive flying performances, creating a satisfying effect. In addition, this model is also superior to a joint concert in that the audience can admire the idols perform more, instead of having to "share" the stage like a joint concert. When "anyone can do a fan meeting"

On the other hand, this model is also witnessing the "encroachment" of KOLs (influencers), which has created many controversial opinions. The recent peak of controversy is when the ticket prices for KOL fan meetings are equivalent to or even higher than those of professional artists. For example, a famous couple on social networks recently planned to hold a fan meeting (before being canceled) with the highest ticket price of up to 2.8 million VND - much higher than the fancon or fan meeting of many artists today, while most KOL events are sponsored.

In a recent fan meeting of a travel blogger, many people pointed out that the salary for collaborators (who are also fans) is lower than the basic level prescribed by law, but is "camouflaged" with flowery words such as "opportunity to meet in person", "standing side by side with idols"... From there, many opinions said that if not alert, fans can easily be taken advantage of for similar events.

The fact that "anyone can do a fan meeting" leads to chaos when the attendees are not necessarily fans, and the event organizers are not necessarily idols, because many people take advantage of this to promote their names and stimulate public curiosity. For example, in just a short time, two TikTokers organized fan meetings together at... coffee shops. Initially, these events were free, but soon after, tickets were sold, and there were even cases where attendees were kicked out of the event because there were not enough seats...

From the above incidents, it can be seen that although fan meetings are a form of bringing celebrities and audiences closer together, if they continue to develop explosively and are not controlled, they will be easily exploited, causing participants to not only receive no value but also lose and suffer more damage.

According to the report "Overview of Vietnam's digital music industry 2024 - 2025" recently conducted by a research team from RMIT University Vietnam, the vibrant activities of enthusiastic fans (superfans) are creating a significant impact on our country's music industry. With more than 75% of music consumption still focused on domestic products, superfans (especially Gen Z) play an important role in increasing the popularity of artists through actively promoting their idols, buying tickets to concerts, fan meetings, etc.
