Ca Mau: A big fire is burning at Thanh Tung market.

A resident of Thanh Tung market (Thanh Tung commune, Ca Mau province) had a conflict and slashed his wife, injuring her. While the wife was being taken to the emergency room, the husband set fire to his house, causing a large fire to spread around.

At 12:15 on August 22, a leader of the People's Committee of Thanh Tung commune ( Ca Mau province) said that he was present at the scene of the fire in Thanh Tung market area and directed the fire fighting; however, the fire was very large and difficult to control.

Initial information said the cause of the fire was a resident (identity being determined) living in Thanh Tung area had a conflict with his wife, then set fire to his own house and the fire spread to the surrounding area.

“The husband had an argument and then took a knife to slash his wife. While the wife was being taken to the emergency room, the man burned down his own house. We are currently focusing on putting out the fire, so we do not know the man’s condition yet,” the leader of Thanh Tung Commune People’s Committee added.
