* Dong Hung Commune
On the morning of August 24, at Dong La Primary School, the People's Committee of Dong Hung commune organized a ceremony to launch a general environmental cleaning campaign to prevent and control epidemics to welcome the new school year 2025 - 2026.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, more than 2,000 people including medical staff, officials, civil servants, workers, union members, students and residents simultaneously participated in cleaning, collecting and treating waste in the entire commune. Organizing sweeping, clearing sewers, clearing bushes, cleaning village roads, alleys, schools; collecting waste, removing advertising papers posted on walls, electric poles, and public places. Participating in instructing people on how to handle water containers, such as: covering tightly to prevent mosquitoes from laying eggs, releasing fish that eat larvae into large water containers, regularly washing water containers, and collecting waste that can easily cause stagnant water around the house. The general cleaning work is focused on high-risk areas, crowded residential areas, schools, markets, canals, stagnant ponds and will continue to be maintained by Dong Hung commune every Sunday morning.
This is a practical activity to promote the strength of national solidarity in environmental protection, proactively prevent and contain the outbreak and spread of infectious diseases, contributing to promoting local socio -economic development.
* Nguyen Trai Commune
On the morning of August 24, the Youth Union of Nguyen Trai commune organized the Green Sunday campaign. With the participation of 70 union members and young people, the cleaning, collection and treatment of waste were carried out in 3 areas, including: the Fatherland Front Office and unions of Nguyen Trai commune in Dang Xuyen village, the martyrs' cemetery of Nguyen Trai commune in Me Xa village and the campus of Da Loc Secondary School.
After the first day of operation, Nguyen Trai Commune Youth Union launched a campaign for all union members and youth in the commune to maintain the implementation of green day with activities of cleaning, clearing bushes, cutting grass, planting flowers along roads in the commune, public areas, and cultural houses. to maintain a green, clean, beautiful and safe landscape throughout the commune. Thereby spreading and raising awareness and responsibility to join hands in protecting the environment among union members, youth and every citizen in the commune.
*Van Giang Commune
On August 23 and 24, Van Giang commune organized a general environmental cleaning campaign and cleared traffic safety corridors, with the participation of over 3,000 people including: cadres, soldiers, police and military forces, union members, youth, members of unions and a large number of people.
During the campaign, the forces simultaneously cleaned, collected and treated garbage, cleared bushes, and cut grass along the roadsides on 11 main roads in the commune. People in residential areas dredged drainage ditches, planted additional flower paths, and swept branch roads in the village, public areas, and cultural houses. The authorities coordinated with the people to dismantle advertising signs that violated traffic safety corridors...
Also on this occasion, Van Giang commune launched a general cleaning campaign for agencies and units every Friday; villages and neighborhoods launched a general cleaning campaign every Saturday and Sunday to maintain a "bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe" landscape in the whole commune, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility for environmental protection of each citizen.
* Quang Hung Commune
On the morning of August 24, Quang Hung commune launched the "Green Sunday" campaign, contributing to building Quang Hung commune "Bright - green - clean - beautiful", with the participation of more than 1,500 people including: Police officers, soldiers, union members, youth, members of organizations and a large number of people.
At the launch, the forces focused on cleaning, collecting and treating waste on main roads, residential areas, market areas, and community activity areas; clearing bushes and cutting grass along inter-village and inter-hamlet roads; dredging and clearing canals and sewers; removing advertising papers posted on walls, electric booths, electric poles, and public places; cleaning sewer areas, dredging drainage systems, and clearing water flows; planting and caring for trees and flowers along roadsides; cleaning the grounds of cultural houses, schools, and community activity areas...
The activity not only contributes to building a bright, green, clean and beautiful rural landscape, but also contributes to raising community awareness in maintaining public hygiene, protecting the living environment, and building advanced, exemplary new rural areas.
