Born in 1970, after completing his military service, Mr. Truong returned to his hometown to work in construction. In 2017, he was elected by the villagers as the Head of the Village Security Self-Management Team; in September 2024, he continued to be assigned the important responsibility of Head of the Grassroots Security Team. Since then, he has devoted all his heart to the work of preserving peace for his homeland.
In his role, Mr. Truong always works closely with departments, branches and organizations to propagate and mobilize people to comply with the law, promptly grasp and reflect arising issues related to security and order, and participate in resolving conflicts and reconciliation among the people. He directly directed the patrol team, controlled crime prevention, participated in fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue, and promoted the motto "Self-prevention, self-management, self-protection, self-reconciliation".
As a result, over the past years, the self-management team has promptly prevented two cases of public disorder, detected and expelled four suspected thieves, provided 12 valuable sources of information to help the police handle three criminal cases, successfully reconciled many conflicts among the people, and recovered homemade guns, primitive weapons and firecrackers. Many offenders have been mobilized and supported to reintegrate into the community.
Not only relying on personal efforts, Mr. Truong also mobilized the strength of the community. Ngai Chau people joined hands to contribute more than 100 million VND to buy 14 walkie-talkies, uniforms, build 2 guard towers, install 4 barriers, 13 alarm bells and manufacture 12 tools to control dangerous weapons from a distance, improve 1 specialized motorbike to carry out patrol and propaganda tasks. The self-management team currently has 20 members operating effectively, closely coordinating with the commune police and border guards, contributing to the strong transformation of an area that used to be potentially complicated.
Mr. Luong Van Truong shared: "Maintaining security is not only the task of the police or the government, but also the common responsibility of every citizen. I always believe that only when the village is peaceful can my family be happy. It is the trust of the villagers that gives me and my brothers in the self-management team the strength to persevere and persevere with this work."
Thanks to his dedication and sense of responsibility, Mr. Truong and the Ngai Chau Village Security Self-Management Team have been commended by the Thai Binh Provincial Police (old) and the Tien Hai District People's Committee (formerly) for many years. He is also one of the outstanding individuals recognized at the 1st Hung Yen Province Patriotic Emulation Congress (2025-2030). More importantly, the silent patrols every night by him and the members of the Security Self-Management Team have contributed to bringing a peaceful life to hundreds of coastal households.
