These days, in a small street in TDP7, Thanh Sen ward, Ha Tinh province, the sound of drums and gongs resounds every time the Thanh Dong lion dance team begins their practice session.

Regardless of hot sunny weather or cold windy late afternoon, the 6 team members are still present regularly to practice movements, coordinate drum beats and harmony in each performance.

Besides the unicorn mascots, the image of Sun Wukong is invested in and made up very carefully by the dance groups.

Mr. Vo Phi Tung - Captain of Thanh Dong lion dance team shared: "The team members are busy with daily work but everyone is passionate about lion dance.

Every day, after work, we practice together until late at night. We all hope to have an impressive performance to bring joy to the children during the Mid-Autumn Festival.”

Along with Thanh Sen, the practice atmosphere also became exciting at Kim Quang Pagoda, Loc Ha Commune. This year, the lion dance team here boldly invested in replacing all costumes and equipment with a total cost of up to 21 million VND.

In the temple yard, the sound of drums mixed with the sound of gongs and the rhythmic shouts of the members created a bustling atmosphere.
