Emphasizing the importance of professional training and improving journalistic ethics, Comrade Ricardo Ronquillo Bello pointed out many opportunities as well as some challenges that new technologies bring to journalism and journalists in Cuba.

Comrade Ricardo Ronquillo Bello affirmed that Cuban press agencies always focus on propagating and promoting the country and people of Vietnam and the special brotherly friendship between Cuba and Vietnam in general, and the substantive and effective bilateral defense relationship in particular.
On behalf of the delegation, Major General Doan Xuan Bo emphasized that on their glorious revolutionary path, the people of the two countries have always stood side by side, shared hardships and challenges, and rejoiced at the victories of the two countries' revolutionary causes. The Vietnamese people will never forget the immortal declaration of leader Fidel Castro: "For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to sacrifice its blood."

Major General Doan Xuan Bo said that for Vietnam, solidarity with Cuba is not only expressed in words, but also through many practical actions. Most recently, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society coordinated with units to launch a program to mobilize support for the Cuban people with the theme "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba friendship"; as of September 8, it had reached more than 421 billion VND (more than 6 times the original target). The program will continue to be implemented until October 16, 2025.
On this occasion, Major General Doan Xuan Bo briefly introduced the formation and development process of the People's Army Newspaper, the newspaper honored to be named by President Ho Chi Minh , as well as the functions, tasks and achievements of the Newspaper in recent times. Over the years, the People's Army Newspaper has always focused on promoting foreign affairs and defense diplomacy, including the special traditional friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba in general and bilateral defense cooperation in particular.
In a friendly and open atmosphere, the two sides agreed that each press agency must devote itself to the revolutionary cause of the country and the progress of society. The two sides also shared ways to train and improve the professional skills of reporters and editors in the context of the development of the information society and the digital transformation of the press of the two countries; and journalistic skills in handling false, distorted, and toxic information, in order to protect sovereignty in cyberspace.
Major General Doan Xuan Bo affirmed that the People's Army Newspaper has strengths and is always ready to exchange and share experiences with Cuban journalists on propaganda work to protect the Party's ideological foundation and fight against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation, especially on social networks and digital platforms.

* Earlier, in the afternoon of the same day, a delegation from the People's Army Newspaper visited and respectfully laid a wreath at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument in the park named after him in the capital city of Havana.
