Learning from storm No. 5 in Yen Nhan and Bat Mot communes, when flash floods and landslides occurred, the traffic system was cut off and isolated two localities for many days, and rescue forces could not reach them. Before storm No. 10, we advised Thanh Hoa province to mobilize forces and vehicles to hide in key areas, ensuring the fastest and most effective handling of situations.

It is known that in the mountainous areas of Thanh Hoa, where there is a high risk of flash floods, landslides, the Thanh Hoa Military Command has mobilized more than 300 officers and soldiers to Muong Lat, Yen Nhan, Bat Mot and Quan Son communes to promptly handle the situations with local forces and local authorities. Lieutenant Colonel Le Ba Bang, Deputy Commander of the Defense Command of Region 4 - Hoi Xuan, said: "Responding to storm No. 10 occurred at night, so for the past 2 days we have had to assign reconnaissance forces to each area, each hamlet, and each house to mobilize and propagate people to respond to storms and floods. For households that are not safe, we advise the locality to resolutely evacuate to safe areas such as schools, cultural houses, or to relatives' houses to ensure safety, ensuring completion before the storm arrives...".

Organize evacuation of people to safe locations.

Nearly 300 officers and soldiers of agencies and units under the Thanh Hoa Military Command are also making efforts to help local people harvest rice and crops to escape storm No. 10. Comrade Vu Thi Thu Phuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Xuan Commune, excitedly said: Currently, the locality still has about 5 hectares of rice that can be harvested, this is an area that cannot be accessed by vehicles. In the past two days, more than 100 officers and soldiers of Regiment 762 and the Defense Command of Area 3 - Ngoc Lac have defied the weather to help people harvest rice, and the people are very excited to have the cooperation and companionship of the army...
