Nguyen Van To Secondary School (formerly District 10) has adjusted its timetable and dismissal time. Mr. Minh, whose child is in 8th grade at the school, said that last weekend, the school adjusted its dismissal time. Previously, there were only 2 periods in the afternoon, and the dismissal time was 3:45 p.m., but now the dismissal time is 4:30 p.m.
Huynh Khuong Ninh Secondary School (District 1) has adjusted its timetable. Students will not study on Saturdays. A parent whose child is in 7th grade said that before, his child had 7 classes/day, now it has increased to 8 classes/day. 4 classes in the morning, 4 classes in the afternoon. Of which, 7 classes are general education programs, the last class will be the school program. Class time remains the same at 7:15 am, school ends from 4:45 pm to 5:00 pm.

At Binh Tho Secondary School (formerly Thu Duc City), Saturdays are closed compared to the old schedule. However, the school organizes clubs on this day. If students want to join, they can register to join, otherwise they can stay home. School dismissal time remains the same, from Monday to Friday at 4:45 p.m., except Fridays when school is dismissed at 4:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, an old elementary school in District 3 kept the first period at 7:30 but adjusted the dismissal time for each grade level. Grades 1, 2, and 5 dismissed at 4:00 p.m.; grades 3-4 dismissed at 4:20 p.m.
According to the direction of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, from today, kindergarten opening time is from 6:30; Pick-up time is from 7:00 onwards, no later than 8:00. Drop-off time is from 16:00.
For high school students, the first period starts at 7:00 a.m. and ends no later than 8:00 a.m. The end of the class is no earlier than 10:30 a.m. In the afternoon, the first period starts no earlier than 1:00 p.m. and ends no later than 1:30 p.m. The end of the class is no earlier than 4:00 p.m. and not later than 5:00 p.m.
Schools should proactively arrange school plans, build flexible and suitable timetables, ensure the correct time frame; ensure the health of children, students and workers at the unit. At the same time, it is also noted that schools located close to each other on the same road should coordinate to arrange staggered school dismissal times (at least 15 minutes) to reduce traffic congestion in the area.
