The October Emotional Music Night organized by the Vocal Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music with the accompaniment of Vang Son Mot Thuo and Vietnamshow will take place at 8:00 p.m. on October 4 at the concert hall of Vietnam National Academy of Music, 77 Hao Nam, Hanoi .
Many famous artists of all generations at the Vocal Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music will perform together in the special art program "October Emotions"
The program is directed by Dr. People's Artist Quoc Hung as Artistic Director, Dr. Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan as General Director, Music Director Son Thach as Music Director, Stage Director Pham Hoang Giang, Production Director - Deputy Head of Vocal Department Bich Hong.
Participating in the performance are many stars and artists from generations of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, such as: People's Artist Quang Tho, People's Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Lan Anh, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Meritorious Artist Phuong Nga, Meritorious Artist Phuong Uyen. Along with that are singers: Anh Tho, Quang Ha, Tuan Anh, Phuc Tiep, Le Anh Dung, Nguyen Vu, Dao To Loan, Bich Hong; young singers such as: Huong Ly, Huong Diep, Khanh Ly, Manh Hoach, Quang Tu, Ngoc Dinh, Rapper Mezzo, pianist Bui Dang Khanh - Trinh Minh Trang, MC Le Anh and My Lan. In this year's program, a number of students who won prizes in international music competitions will also participate in the performance with their teachers. According to Dr. People's Artist Quoc Hung - Deputy Director in charge of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, the October Emotions program is a special art program organized to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), to celebrate the 68th anniversary and look forward to the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam National Academy of Music (1956 - 2024). The program not only recalls the historic October days 70 years ago, the liberation army marched to Hanoi in extreme joy, in tears of happiness, bright smiles... to welcome the liberation of the Capital, but also shows the continuation of tradition in the present and future, the people of the Capital still keep that spirit intact in the work of building and developing the country.
The special art program October Emotions is an important program with a large investment from the Vocal Music Department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music in 2024. The program is also a continuation of the Faculty's tradition, performing big music nights to serve art-loving audiences, with the goal of bringing audiences closer to the top music environment of the National Academy of Music, while also helping the National Academy of Music access the art market, thereby creating a harmony between academic music and audience tastes. In 2023, the Golden Autumn art program resonated and left an impression on the audience, as a stepping stone for the Vocal Music Department to invest more strongly in October Emotions.
Besides the meaning of contributing to the series of special events of Hanoi on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, the 68th anniversary towards the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, October Emotions is also an opportunity for lecturers from many periods and generations to perform together, contributing to a high-quality program.
The program is carefully scripted, the works performed in the program will be carefully selected so that the audience can experience different emotions through many musical genres. There will be classic works about Hanoi combined with works that go deep into the soul, and also works with a new, modern breath performed in the program. October Emotions will have the participation of stars, lecturers and guests who are alumni of previous courses. These are all top voices, promising to bring one of the best quality music nights in the series of events celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.
The October Emotions program is divided into 4 chapters, with different themes and musical spaces. The first chapter "Thang Long - Hanoi" is classical chamber music, heroic songs that have accompanied the years about Hanoi such as Hanoi People (musician Nguyen Dinh Thi), Hanoi Song (musician Vu Thanh), Hanoi Faith and Hope (musician Phan Nhan)... Chapter 2 "Hanoi of Old Days", chapter 3 "Hanoi of Memories", and chapter 4 "Hanoi People's Songs" will bring the audience to a Hanoi with the beauty of the seasons, the beauty of Hanoi, the beauty of Hanoi people.
The program gathers most of the famous works written about Hanoi, highlighting a heroic, romantic, and charming image of Hanoi, whether in memory or in the present, such as: Accordingly, coming to the October Emotions program, the audience will enjoy classic light music about Hanoi such as: Hanoi in the Windy Night (Musician Trong Dai), Remembering Hanoi (Musician Hoang Hiep), Wandering Winter Afternoon in Hanoi (Musician Phu Quang), Hanoi 12 Flower Seasons (Musician Giang Son), Hanoi in the Fallen Leaves Season (Hoang Nhat Minh), Xam Hanoi (Nguyen Quang Long), Hanoi Old Days (Song Ngoc)... In particular, chapter 4 will be a new, more youthful section of Hanoi music to reach young audiences, closer to the way young people enjoy music today.
