In the Southwestern region: The beautiful Ri6 durian variety is priced at 85,000 - 88,000 VND/kg and the Ri6 durian variety is priced at 70,000 - 88,000 VND/kg; the beautiful Thai durian is priced at 113,000 - 115,000 VND/kg; the Thai durian variety is priced at 93,000 - 95,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region: The price of beautiful Ri6 durian is 71,000 - 74,000 VND and the price of Ri6 durian purchased by traders is 60,000 - 70,000 VND/kg; beautiful Thai durian is 110,000 - 113,000 VND/kg; meanwhile, Thai durian is 95,000 - 100,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands: The price of beautiful Ri6 durian is 70,000 - 72,000 VND/kg and Ri6 durian in bucket is at the price that traders buy at 65,000 - 70,000 VND/kg; beautiful Thai durian is at 100,000 - 102,000 VND/kg; meanwhile, Thai durian in bucket is at 80,000 - 88,000 VND/kg.

It's durian harvest season, and Chinese businesses are busy importing goods from Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines to meet the rapidly increasing demand in the billion-people market.

Durian has become a trendy fruit in China in the past few years. To meet the growing demand, Chinese businesses have gone as far as Thailand and Vietnam to sign contracts with farm owners to stabilize the supply and ensure quality.

In supermarkets in Beijing, the price of 1 kg of Thai moonthong ranges from 190,000 - 210,000 VND/kg. Vietnam's Ri6 is 150,000 - 160,000 VND/kg. The price has not changed much compared to last year.

Durian is bought by Chinese people as a gift because it is widely promoted as a precious fruit with health benefits. Therefore, it is not uncommon to see scenes of jostling to buy durian in China.
