At around 11am on September 27, a fire broke out at a parking lot on Nguyen Thi Nhuan Street (KP9, An Phu Dong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The parking lot is located in a residential area with many level 4 houses, so the risk of fire spreading is very high. People living around the parking lot called on their family members to move their belongings out to avoid the fire spreading.

The fire quickly spread inside the parking lot, with motorbikes and cars being parked inside, and many loud explosions were heard. Parking lot staff and residents used mini fire extinguishers to approach the scene but were unable to control it.

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police, mobilized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. Firefighting teams moved water hoses in many directions to isolate the fire. Some vehicles in the parking lot were not yet affected by the fire, so the parking lot staff were able to move out in time.

By 12:00, the fire was basically under control. The number of vehicles burned has not been determined yet, but at least one 45-seat tourist bus and many tires were burned.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and calculating the damage.
