Che Cu Nha unanimously builds new rural areas

In the new rural development program, highland villages and hamlets are still considered "difficult spots" because of the remote terrain and the difficult lives of the people. However, Che Cu Nha village, Mu Cang Chai commune has proven that with the spirit of solidarity and self-reliance, people can completely create clear changes.

Secretary of Khang A Cu village Party Cell shared: The most important thing is to arouse the spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement among the people. When each household sees itself as a part of the new rural construction, any difficulty can be overcome. Also from that spirit, people agree and are ready to contribute to building their homeland.

Mr. Lu A Say, a villager, recalls: Before, the road was muddy and difficult to travel. Now the concrete road is clear, electricity is available in the village, life has changed a lot.

It is known that from 2023 to now, villagers have contributed nearly 1,100 working days to build rural roads; more than 100 working days and 40 million VND to build 3 "Lighting up the Countryside" power lines with a length of 1.5 km. Thanks to that, the roads are more convenient, students go to school more safely, and agricultural products are easily consumed.

Not stopping at infrastructure, the people of Che Cu Nha also boldly transformed the structure of crops and livestock, applying science and technology to production. The whole village currently has over 50 hectares of cardamom, with an output of over 100 tons per year, bringing in a revenue of over 2 billion VND.

Along with that, nearly 40 hectares of rice and 30 hectares of corn have contributed to ensuring food on the spot. In particular, people also exploit the advantage of being located in the Mu Cang Chai National Landscape Complex of Terraced Fields to develop community tourism ; maintain the blacksmithing, brocade weaving, rice wine brewing, and create typical products to serve tourists. Thanks to that, people's lives are increasingly improved, the cultural identity of the Mong ethnic group is preserved and spread.

In the whole village, 85% of households have achieved the title of "Cultural Family"; 98% of households have access to clean water; 100% of households have electricity; 90% of households have motorbikes and audio-visual equipment. Notably, the poverty rate has decreased to less than 10%. In 2024, Che Cu Nha will be officially recognized as meeting the standards of a new-style rural village.

It can be affirmed that Che Cu Nha's success is the result of consensus, self-reliance and will to rise of the people.

Che Cu Nha today is not only a bright spot in the construction of new rural areas in Mu Cang Chai commune but also a vivid and effective demonstration of the motto "State and People work together". This is also a valuable experience for many highland villages and hamlets to learn from, contributing to making the appearance of mountainous rural areas increasingly prosperous and developing sustainably.
