Admire Vietnam's modern UAV fleet at A80 training complex

(VTC News) - Three modern UAV models including reconnaissance UAV, multi-purpose UAV, and suicide UAV researched and produced by Viettel, appeared for the first time at the A80 training session on the evening of August 21.

At the general training session to prepare for the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, for the first time, three modern UAV models researched and produced by Viettel were introduced.

These three modern UAV models include reconnaissance UAVs, multi-purpose UAVs, and suicide UAVs that can be equipped with high-precision combat weapons when integrated with AI. Each type has its own function, but when combined, it will form a comprehensive combat power.

These UAV lines are completely mastered by Viettel in technology , from research, development to domestic manufacturing.

Currently, the trio of UAVs has been tested and put into practical training, marking an important breakthrough in Vietnam's defense industry in recent times.

The reconnaissance UAV line produced by Viettel is capable of vertical take-off and landing, equipped with modern reconnaissance cameras, with the ability to automatically reconnaissance and monitor different types of targets from the ground and at sea.

The VU-C2 suicide UAV model is 1.5m wide, 1.1m long, has a maximum take-off weight of 8kg, can operate continuously for 40 minutes, and has a maximum target attack speed of more than 130km/h.

The VU-C2 suicide UAV model is equipped with a warhead, camera sensor, integrated AI, capable of searching, detecting and locking targets completely automatically, and attacking targets when ordered by the commander.

Vietnam's modern UAV equipment paraded on the street to the excitement of many people.

Through that, Viettel has formed a comprehensive UAV capability chain: from reconnaissance, target designation, multi-mission operations to suicide attacks, approaching the model that current military powers are deploying.
