This afternoon (July 15), the 2025 high school graduation exam score distribution was announced.

This is the first time the Ministry of Education and Training has provided the score distribution of all graduation exam subjects and traditional combinations used for university admission before announcing the exam scores.

The score distribution is a basis for candidates to consider and refer to before making university choices.

Afterwards, the Ministry of Education and Training will also hold an information conference of the National Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam and the score distribution analysis team.

The Ministry of Education and Training is expected to announce the high school graduation exam scores at 8am on July 16. Candidates can look up their scores on VTV Times.

After knowing the score, candidates can calculate the score for high school graduation in 2025.

Graduation recognition scores from 2025 include the scores of the subjects the candidate takes the exam (accounting for 50%); the average score (GPA) of the years of study at high school level (accounting for 50%) and priority points and incentive points, if any.

Formula for calculating graduation recognition scores in 2025

The high school graduation exam took place on June 26-27 with more than 1.16 million candidates. Of these, nearly 1.14 million candidates took the exam under the new general education program (2018) and more than 26,700 under the old program (2006).

Candidates under the new program will take two compulsory subjects: Literature and Mathematics, and two elective subjects from the following subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Agricultural Technology, Industrial Technology, and Foreign Languages ​​(7 languages).

Candidates following the old program take the Literature, Math, Foreign Language tests and the optional Natural Science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology) or Social Science (History, Geography, Civic Education) test.

University benchmark scores will be announced before 5:00 p.m. on August 22.
