(NLDO) – A fishing boat of fishermen from Quang Nam province was fishing about 50 nautical miles east of the coast of Binh Dinh province when it sank.
On the afternoon of March 23, the Border Guard of Binh Dinh province said it was coordinating with functional units to continue searching for four fishermen missing at sea.

These are the 4 workers on the fishing boat Qna-91679 TS, owned and captained by Mr. Phan Van Thanh (54 years old; residing in Tam Giang commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province).
Initial information, at noon on March 20, fishing boat Qna-91679 TS with 15 fishermen departed from An Hoa Border Control Station (under Ky Ha Port Border Guard Station, Quang Nam province) to practice fishing with nets.
At around 10:30 a.m. on March 21, while fishing about 50 nautical miles east of the coast of Binh Dinh province, the fishing boat broke down and was completely sunk by the waves. Due to the weather conditions and big waves, the fishermen were in a very dangerous situation and had to continuously call for help. Afterwards, fishing boats QNa-91769 TS, QNa-90172 TS, QNa-91829 TS arrived and rescued 11 fishermen, including one who had died.
By the morning of March 23, fishing boat QNa-91769 TS, piloted by Mr. Tran Tan Sinh (residing in Quang Nam province), had brought the 10 fishermen and the bodies to De Gi fishing port, Phu Cat district, Binh Dinh province.

Currently, Cat Khanh Border Guard Station (Binh Dinh Provincial Border Guard) is coordinating with Ky Ha Border Guard Station (Quang Nam Provincial Border Guard) and local authorities to carry out procedures to receive and hand over the above fishermen.
