The Government reports to the National Assembly on salary reform

According to the newly approved program, the National Assembly will decide on personnel work within its authority, elect members of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly, and dismiss deputies of the 15th National Assembly from their duties today (June 25).

In the afternoon, the National Assembly will listen to the Minister of Home Affairs , authorized by the Prime Minister, present the Government's Report on salary reform; adjustment of pensions, social insurance benefits, preferential benefits for people with meritorious services and social benefits from July 1, 2024.

The Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Social Affairs will also present a report on the review of salary reform contents; adjustments to pensions, social insurance benefits, preferential benefits for people with meritorious services and social benefits from July 1, 2024.

Also in the afternoon, the National Assembly listened to a Government representative present a Proposal on a debt repayment extension plan for refinancing loans under Resolution No. 135/2020/QH14 dated November 17, 2020 of the National Assembly.

In the late afternoon, the National Assembly will discuss in groups: Salary reform contents; adjustment of pensions, social insurance benefits, preferential benefits for people with meritorious services and social benefits from July 1, 2024; Debt repayment extension plan for refinancing loans according to Resolution No. 135/2020/QH14 dated November 17, 2020 of the National Assembly.

According to this new program, the contents on: salary reform; adjustment of pensions, social insurance benefits, preferential benefits for people with meritorious services and social benefits from July 1, 2024; Plan to extend debt repayment for refinancing loans according to Resolution No. 135/2020/QH14 dated November 17, 2020 of the National Assembly will also be discussed by the National Assembly in the hall tomorrow (June 26).

After that, the issue of salary reform and pension adjustment will be voted and approved by the National Assembly in the Resolution of the 7th Session, 15th National Assembly on the closing day of June 29.

Previously, regarding salary reform and pension adjustment, on June 20 at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra said that immediately after being approved by the National Assembly at the 7th Session, the issue of salary reform and pension adjustment will be implemented from July 1, 2024.
