Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet expressed her gratitude to the Chairwoman of the Bulgarian National Assembly Nataliya Kiselova for taking the time to receive her, and also expressed her appreciation for the congratulatory letter on the occasion of Vietnam's 80th National Day and the two countries' 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.

Emphasizing that over the past 75 years, the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Bulgaria has been continuously strengthened and developed, in which parliamentary cooperation plays an important role, the Ambassador highly appreciated the close coordination between the two National Assemblies, demonstrated through recent high-level visits, contributing to promoting parliamentary cooperation, economy - trade and exchange of legislative experience.

The Ambassador affirmed his hope that the two sides would continue to maintain delegation exchanges, online meetings, and coordination at multilateral parliamentary forums such as the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP).

In the context of 2025 having special significance for Vietnam, associated with many important historical milestones, the Ambassador believes that this is a driving force for Vietnam to strengthen international integration and expand multifaceted cooperation with Bulgaria. The Ambassador expressed his hope that during his term of office, he will make every effort to contribute to bringing the Vietnam-Bulgaria relationship to a new height, through enhancing high-level political dialogue, promoting the Intergovernmental Committee mechanism and political consultation, promoting economic, trade and investment cooperation, and expanding cultural and people-to-people exchanges.

On this occasion, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet proposed a number of key cooperation orientations in the coming time, including effectively implementing agreements between the two National Assemblies, increasing delegation exchanges and sharing experiences in governance and legislation. In addition, the two sides can promote economic - trade and investment cooperation in potential areas such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, education - training, information technology, digital transformation, green transformation; at the same time, promote cultural - educational cooperation, student exchange, scholarships and enhance people-to-people exchange.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nataliya Kiselova congratulated Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet on her new assignment and congratulated Vietnam on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day and the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Delighted with the positive development of the traditional friendship between the two countries over the past 75 years, especially through high-level visits and contacts, the National Assembly Chairman emphasized that the Bulgarian people always have special affection for the Vietnamese people. In particular, the current senior leaders of Bulgaria, especially President Rumen Radev and Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov (former National Assembly Chairman) who have visited Vietnam, all have affection and attach great importance to the relationship with Vietnam.

Appreciating the positive contributions of the Vietnamese community in Bulgaria to the local socio-economic development, National Assembly Chairwoman Nataliya Kiselova affirmed that Bulgaria always attaches importance to the relationship with Vietnam - a reliable partner with an important geostrategic position in Southeast Asia and Asia.

Agreeing with the Ambassador's proposals on strengthening parliamentary cooperation, including promoting the activities of the Friendship Parliamentary Group and exchanging legislative experiences, the President of the Bulgarian National Assembly considered this one of the important driving forces to promote bilateral relations.

Welcoming the upcoming visit and working session of the Vietnamese National Assembly's Nationalities Council Delegation, the leader affirmed that the Bulgarian National Assembly will closely coordinate so that the working trip will achieve practical results, contributing to further tightening the connection and cooperation between the two National Assemblies.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of friendship, trust and mutual understanding, contributing to consolidating and deepening the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Bulgaria.
